Terms and Conditions for The She.E.O. Academy

Effective Date: June 18, 2025

Welcome to She.E.O. Academy (“She.E.O. Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)—the place where women build businesses, chase dreams, and still make it to soccer practice. She.E.O. Academy is a membership program, online coaching and digital product site proudly owned and operated by The Small Business Mom, Ltd. (“The Small Business Mom”). By joining our community, using our website, or accessing any of our resources, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully—don’t worry, we kept the legalese to a minimum and the personality on max!

Exclusions and Limitations

Let’s keep it real: While we pour our hearts into making She.E.O. Academy a safe, supportive, and super-helpful space, we have to say this website and its content are provided “as is.” That means:
  • To the fullest extent allowed by law, we (The Small Business Mom, Ltd. and She.E.O. Academy) don’t make any promises or guarantees—express or implied—about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the info on this site. This includes anything shared by us, our affiliates, or third parties. Sometimes mistakes happen or things change—life, right?
  • We’re not liable for any damages or losses that might come from using our website, including (but not limited to) direct loss, missed business opportunities, lost profits, or any damage to your computer, software, or data. Whether it’s a tech glitch, a typo, or a business hiccup, we can’t be held responsible for any resulting issues—no matter how they happen.
But here’s what we absolutely won’t exclude: We do not limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence (because that’s just not cool, and the law says so). These exclusions and limitations only apply as far as the law allows. And don’t worry—none of this affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Acceptance of Terms

By using our site, enrolling in our membership, or purchasing any of our digital products, you’re saying, “Yes, I agree to these Terms.” If you don’t agree, please don’t use our services (we’ll miss you, but we get it).

Membership & Account Stuff

We may (though we’re not required to) review new accounts before you get access to all the She.E.O. Academy goodies. Honesty is our favorite policy—so if you provide false contact info, we might have to hit the pause button and terminate your account (nobody wants that drama).

  • You’re the Boss: You must be at least 18 years old to join. You agree to provide accurate info and keep your login details safe (no sharing passwords, not even with your BFF).
  • Account Security: You’re responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect any shenanigans, let us know ASAP at support@thesmallbusinessmom.com.
  • Member Responsibility: We’re not responsible for any issues or damages that come from things you do (or forget to do) with your account. So, double-check your info, keep your password secret, and reach out if you need help.

If we ever find out that you’ve broken these Terms or acted in a way that could harm our community’s vibe or reputation, we reserve the right to suspend, disable, or even delete your account (yikes—we hope it never comes to that). If your account is deleted for these reasons, you won’t be able to re-register, and we might block your email and IP address to keep things safe for everyone.

Payments, Renewals, and All That Jazz

  • Membership Fees: She.E.O. Academy membership fees are billed monthly or annually, depending on what you choose at checkout. All prices are listed in USD.
  • Automatic Renewal: Your membership will auto-renew (because who wants to deal with extra admin?). You can cancel anytime—see below for details.
  • Failed Payments: We totally get it—life is busy and payment hiccups happen! If we’re unable to process your membership payment, our system will automatically give it another shot an additional 5 times every 3 days using the payment method you’ve got on file. We also reserve the right to manually retry your payment at any time, using either your current payment method or any new ones you add to your account, to help clear up any outstanding balances.

Just a heads-up: The Small Business Mom (that’s us, the parent company for She.E.O. Academy) isn’t responsible for any late fees, bank charges, or reclaimed payments that might come from PayPal, ACH, or card payment providers. If you’re paying with PayPal, it’s up to you to make sure your card details are current and correct. Need to update your info? You can do that directly on the PayPal site (they’ve got handy step-by-step guides!).

Please make yourself aware of PayPal’s Privacy Policy if this is your chosen payment gateway for your membership.

And just so you know: We don’t accept checks or cash—digital payments only, please!

Refunds & Cancellations

  • First-timers: if you decide we’re not your vibe, let us know within 14 days of joining for a full refund on your first month. After 14 days, no refunds, but you can still cancel for the next cycle. This is for our new members ONLY, if you are an existing or returning member you aren’t a newbie & you already had your 14 day window, so no being sneaky now (it’s not cool).
  • Monthly Memberships: You can cancel anytime by emailing support@thesmallbusinessmom.com at least 3 business days before your next billing date.
  • Annual Memberships: Annual memberships are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime to prevent renewal. You’ll keep access for the remainder of your paid term.
  • Courses & Digital Products: All digital product and course sales are final (because instant downloads are forever). No refunds unless otherwise stated on the sales page.
  • How to Cancel: Just email support@thesmallbusinessmom.com with your request and we’ll take care of you—no guilt trips, we promise.
  • Changing Plans: Want to upgrade from monthly to annual? Awesome! Let us know at least 3 days before your next billing date. Switching from annual to monthly is only available at the end of your annual term.

What You Get (and What You Can’t Do)

  • Your Access: As a member, you get access to all the courses, resources, downloads, and community spaces included in your plan. Some content may be released over time (hello, monthly themes!). You will also have access to any courses, programs, content and associated material that you have purchased individually. You will have access to that material for the lifetime of The She.E.O. Academy.
  • Personal Use Only: All content is for your personal use. Please don’t share, copy, sell, or redistribute our materials. If you want to shout about us online, tag us and share the love (but not the files).
  • Intellectual Property: All content, branding, and resources are the property of The Small Business Mom, Ltd. and She.E.O. Academy.
We’re all about sharing knowledge and cheering you on, but here’s the deal: All of our courses, resources, and materials are for your personal use only. That means you agree not to modify, edit, copy, reproduce, create spin-offs, reverse engineer, tweak, or otherwise use any of our content for anything other than your own learning and growth. No borrowing for your own business, sharing with friends, or remixing for your own products—that is technically stealing and stealing is BAD, mkay!

If you ever have questions about what’s okay and what’s not, just ask—we’re happy to clarify. Thanks for respecting our hard work and creativity, and for helping keep our community awesome!

Community Guidelines

At She.E.O. Academy and The Small Business Mom, we’re all about building a positive, empowering, and supportive community—both online and offline. Our spaces are designed to help you grow, connect, and thrive, and we expect everyone to help keep things friendly, safe, and inclusive. By participating in any of our communities—including Facebook groups, pages, social media accounts, blog comments, and any other platforms we manage—you agree to play by these ground rules:

Be Kind, Respectful, and Supportive

  • Treat everyone with respect and kindness, no matter where you’re connecting—Facebook groups, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, or blog comments.
  • Encourage, uplift, and celebrate each other’s wins (big or small!). We’re here to build each other up, not tear anyone down.
  • No bullying, harassment, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind. Zero tolerance, full stop.

Keep It Confidential and Safe

  • What’s shared in our private groups stays in the group. Respect everyone’s privacy and don’t share screenshots, stories, or details outside the community unless you are explicitly given permission from the member.
  • Don’t post personal information (yours or anyone else’s) publicly.

No Spam or Self-Promotion (Unless Invited)

  • Please don’t use our spaces to pitch your business, products, or services unless we’ve specifically invited you to share.
  • No spamming, mass messaging, or unsolicited promotions. We love supporting women-owned businesses, but there’s a time and place—watch for our “promo threads” or special sharing days!

Stay On Topic and Add Value

  • Keep conversations relevant to business, entrepreneurship, work-life balance, and the spirit of the She.E.O. Academy.
  • Share tips, ask questions, and offer support—no fluff, just value!
  • If you have feedback about the group or the Academy, we’re all ears—just send it to us privately so we can help.

Play Nice on All Platforms

  • These guidelines apply everywhere you interact with us: public and private Facebook groups, our Facebook pages, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, blog comments, and any other official She.E.O. Academy or The Small Business Mom spaces.
  • Negative, disruptive, or harmful behavior in any of these spaces—whether public or private—will not be tolerated.

Respect Our Team and Moderators

  • Our admins and moderators are here to keep things safe and fun for everyone. Please follow their instructions and respect their decisions.
  • If you have an issue with moderation, reach out to us privately at support@thesmallbusinessmom.com.

Blog Comments: Keep It Classy

  • Comments on our blog should be constructive, respectful, and relevant to the topic. No trolling, no spam, and definitely no mean girl energy.
What Happens If You Break the Rules?
We believe in second chances and open communication, but we also take our community’s well-being seriously. If you violate these guidelines, we may remove your posts, mute or block you from our groups or pages, or—if necessary—suspend or permanently revoke your membership and access to She.E.O. Academy and all related sites and communities. This applies to all platforms, not just one.
If your access is revoked due to guideline violations, you will not be eligible for a refund, and you may be blocked from rejoining in the future.

We’re here to create a space where every woman feels empowered, included, and supported. If you ever have questions about what’s okay (or not), or if you need to report something, please reach out to support@thesmallbusinessmom.com. Let’s keep this community amazing—together!

Educational & Informational Purposes

Everything you find inside She.E.O. Academy and across The Small Business Mom platforms—whether it’s a course, a downloadable guide, a blog post, a community discussion, or a friendly tip on social media—is created to empower, educate, and inspire you on your business journey. We pour our experience, research, and best intentions into everything we share, but here’s the important stuff you need to know:
  • Not Professional Advice: We’re here to guide you with practical info, real-life stories, and actionable steps, but we are not lawyers, accountants, financial advisors, medical professionals, or licensed mental health providers. Nothing on our site or in our programs should be taken as legal, financial, medical, or mental health advice.
  • Your Responsibility: If you ever need advice or support in these areas, please consult a qualified professional who can look at your unique situation. We encourage you to seek out legal, financial, medical, or mental health experts whenever you’re making important decisions.

Limitation of Liability

  • While we strive to be accurate and helpful, we can’t guarantee outcomes or results. Your decisions and actions are your own, and you agree not to hold She.E.O. Academy, The Small Business Mom, or any of our team members liable for any consequences that arise from using our resources or following our advice.
  • No Guarantees: We love seeing our members succeed, but your results will depend on your own effort, choices, and circumstances. We make no promises or guarantees about what you’ll achieve—though we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!
If you ever have questions about the information we provide or want help finding a qualified professional, just ask! We’re here to support you, but your well-being and success come first.

Accuracy of Information

We do our best to keep everything on the She.E.O. Academy website as up-to-date and accurate as possible, but hey—we’re human (and sometimes typos sneak in when we aren’t properly caffeinated). Occasionally, you might spot an error, typo, or missing detail in things like product descriptions, pricing, availability, promotions, or offers. We reserve the right to correct these hiccups and update information or cancel orders if anything on the site or in our Services is inaccurate—at any time, and without prior notice (even if you’ve already placed an order).

We’re not obligated to update, amend, or clarify information on the website, including pricing, unless required by law. Just because you see a “last updated” date, that doesn’t mean all the info on the site has been changed or refreshed.

Third Party Services

Sometimes, we recommend or connect you with third-party services to help you on your business journey. If you choose to use any of these services, just know that you’re playing by their rules, not ours. We don’t control, endorse, or take responsibility for their content, how they handle your data, or your interactions with them. Any issues, agreements, or adventures you have with third-party providers are strictly between you and them.

By enabling or using a third-party service, you’re giving us permission to share your info as needed to make that service work. And just so you know: The Small Business Mom, Ltd. (our parent company) isn’t liable for any damage or loss related to your use of third-party services or your trust in their privacy and data practices. Always check their terms and privacy policies to be sure you’re comfortable.

Cookies

We use cookies (the website kind, not the chocolate chip kind—sorry!) to gather info about how you use our site and help us improve your experience. Cookies are little files stored on your computer that give us general, anonymous info about your visit (nothing personal or identifying). You can choose to decline cookies in your browser settings if you prefer. For more details, check out AboutCookies.org for handy tips on managing your cookie preferences.

Backups

We do our best to keep regular backups of the She.E.O. Academy website and its content, but these backups are just for our own admin purposes. We can’t guarantee their completeness or reliability, so please keep your own copies of anything important to you. We’re not responsible for any data loss or incomplete backups, but we’ll always do our best to keep things running smoothly.

Advertisements

You might see ads, promotions, or sponsored content from time to time on our website. Any interactions, purchases, or agreements you make with advertisers or sponsors are strictly between you and them. We’re not responsible for any issues, terms, or experiences you have with third-party advertisers.

Links to Other Resources

We love sharing helpful resources, so you’ll find links to other websites, apps, and tools throughout our site. But just because we link to something doesn’t mean we’re officially endorsing it or have any connection to it (unless we specifically say so). Some of our links may be “affiliate links”—if you click and buy, we might earn a small commission (at no extra cost to you). We’re not responsible for the content, policies, or offerings of any third-party sites, so please check their terms and use your best judgment before clicking around.

Intellectual Property Rights

All the content, branding, and resources you see on She.E.O. Academy and The Small Business Mom are protected by intellectual property laws. That includes everything from our logos and graphics to our course materials and blog posts. You don’t get any ownership or license to use, copy, or reproduce our intellectual property (or anyone else’s) just by using our site. All trademarks and logos belong to their respective owners. Please respect our creativity and hard work—no unauthorized use, please!

Representation & Content Distribution

We’re so glad you’re part of the She.E.O. Academy family! Just a quick reminder: as a member, you’re welcome to share your personal experiences and wins (and we hope you do!), but you are not authorized to represent She.E.O. Academy, The Small Business Mom, or any of our team in any official capacity. That means you can’t present yourself as a spokesperson, employee, partner, ambassador, or representative of our company—on social media, in person, or anywhere else.

You also may not distribute, share, or publish our content (courses, resources, downloads, templates, guides, or any other materials) as if you have the right to do so. All our content is for your personal use and learning only. Please don’t copy, repost, or share our resources in public forums, groups, or platforms, or present them as your own work or as “official” She.E.O. Academy material.

If you’d love to collaborate or have an idea for sharing She.E.O. Academy with your community, reach out to us directly at support@thesmallbusinessmom.com—let’s chat!

Changes and Amendments

We might update these Terms and Conditions from time to time (just like we update our coffee order). When we do, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and may let you know through other channels. The new version takes effect as soon as it’s posted, unless we say otherwise. By continuing to use the website and our Services, you agree to the updated terms—so it’s a good idea to check back every now and then.

Acceptance of These Terms

By using She.E.O. Academy, The Small Business Mom, and all related Services, you’re letting us know you’ve read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you don’t agree, that’s totally okay—but you won’t be able to use our website or Services.

If you ever have questions, concerns, or just want to chat about these Terms, reach out to us at support@thesmallbusinessmom.com—we’re always happy to help!
